How to generate your Shopify Admin API access token

Learn how to securely generate your Admin API credentials for Sync Engine App. Follow this step by step guide to activate your engine.

Generate your Admin API key

Log in to your Shopify Admin panel.
Navigate to Settings > Apps.
Click "Develop apps" > "Create an app" (Name it: SEA).
Select "Configure Admin API scopes".
Check the boxes according to the modules I purchased:
• Inventory: read_products, read_inventory
• Orders: read_orders, read_customers
• Shipping: read_orders, read_locations
• Customers: read_customers
(Note: Full access to customer names and emails is available for Shopify "Grow" plans and higher. Basic plans have native restrictions for customer data).
Click Save, then go to the "API credentials" tab.
Click "Install app" and reveal your Admin API access token.
Store this token securely. I will never ask for it; you will only enter it once in the app to activate your engine.
